St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church Window Restoration

St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places

Sills and casings were repaired and restored. Stained glass was completely repaired and re-leaded. Seven sash were restored, one sash was reconstructed to precise original specifications.

Eight gothic-arched windows above the choir loft, aka Minstrel Gallery.

Operation was restored to these “hopper windows” as originally designed.

Stained glass repaired, sash restored, stops reconstructed, sills repaired, exterior refinished on these horizontal pivot windows.

Left sash is original, right sash is a reconstruction of the original. Pivoting operation was restored and historically appropriate hardware re-installed. Interior refinished.

Reproduction sash made with architectural details precisely matched including lumber species, jointery techniques, milling profiles, and proportions.
